Chinese Bride

(Although you can't tell on the small ones).
The bg story is a woman, studying in the states, brought back to China due to an arranged marriage. Her American boyfriend can't just let her go, and so the last person she expects to see is a tree apart, instead of half a world.
Actually, I just wanted an excuse to do that traditional Chinese bridal ... outfit. Needless to say, this took awhile. ALL of the designs on the jacket, the trees, the mist, the pom-pom things, and the pearls are all added in ps3. Although the trees just kinda suck.

Note the phoenix symbols all over her headress and on her collar. The phoenix represents ideal femininity. The dragon, barely there on her chest, represents ideal masculinity. The phoenix+dragon motif on her left sleeve therefore represents marriage.

Used: pen, pencil, (underdrawing), PS3, logitech laser mouse.
(I can hardly move my hand because of that jacket, and the lack of a tablet)
