Gijinka: PKMN intro

There is a world where there are espers and people who "tune" those espers' powers. Tuners can connect with the espers to give them a 'power-up,' and some espers are unable to use powers without the aid of a tuner. A tuner can tune up to 6 espers simultaneously before all parties involved begin to suffer from overload.


... so my hyper-active imagination has been creating a world where pokemon are people...

Loosely following Pokemon Special's plot, Team Rocket is the ugly face of an over-ambitious, government funded science that seeks to resurrect the strongest esper in an illegal human-cloning experiment.
Tesla is a pikachu woman unable to use her electric-powers without a tuner. I'm not sure how Lots of things happen, and she falls for neural researcher/grad student Joyce Hamil. Joyce is a part-time intern under Rocket due to a scholarship. More things happen and Joyce is less than pleased when he stumbles upon the experiment codenamed Mu-2.
Impeccable timing occurs as a wandering team of espers led by the genius-tuner, Red, crashes the party and Joyce and a few other scientists - including a team of fire-users and the fire-tuner Blaine - escape.

I have a whole lot more to hash out in the universe, but I wanted to get it out before inspiration died. Lol, the universe would be a lot of fun to role-play after I figure out all the li'l details of the Gijinka!-verse.
